Mark was born and raised in the state of New York. In 1974 he moved to Washington State where he graduated from Eatonville High School in 1979. After graduating from Northwest Nazarene University, where he majored in History, Mark attended the University of Puget Sound, School of Law (now Seattle University) where he obtained his law degree in 1986.
Mark began his legal career in 1986 as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with Pierce County. In 1988 he moved into private practice with a local criminal defense firm. In 2002, after fourteen years with that firm, Mark opened his own criminal defense firm, the Law Office of Mark S. Treyz. He handles felony, misdemeanor, juvenile, and traffic matters.
Mark and his wife, Elva, have three children; Taryn, John, and Madison. They reside in Puyallup and enjoy traveling and hiking.
